Jesus Christ Heals

A Centurion’s Servant

And Raises

The Son Of A Widow Of Nain

The Christians At The Home Of Jesus

The twelve apostles went with Jesus to His home, and there abode for certain days.
And Jesus told them many things about the inner life that are not written in a book.

Jesus Heals A Centurion's Servant

Now, in Capernaum, there lived a man of wealth, a Roman captain of a hundred men, who loved the Jews and who had built for them a synagogue. A servant of this man was paralyzed, and he was sick unto death. The captain knew of Jesus and had heard that by the Sacred Word He healed the sick, and he had faith in Him. He sent a message by the elders of the Israelites to Jesus, pleading for help.

And Jesus recognized the captain's faith and went at once to heal the sick. The captain met Him on the way and said to Him, “Behold, Lord, it is not fit that you should come to my house. I am not worthy of the presence of a man of God. I am a man of war, my life is spent with those who often times take the lives of fellow men. And surely He who comes to save would be dishonoured if He comes beneath my roof. If you will speak the Word, I know my servant will be well.”

And Jesus turned and said to those who followed him, “Behold the captain's faith. I have not seen such faith, no, not in Israel. Behold, the feast is spread for you. But while you doubt and wait, the foreigners come in faith and takes the bread of life.”

Then turning to the man He said, “Go on your way. According to your faith so shall it be. Your servant lives.” It came to pass that at the time that Jesus spoke the Word the paralyzed man arose, and he was well.

Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."

And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."

The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.

Explanations:

1.     Ministers of God should attend to the needs of people.

2.     They shall do so readily and willingly.

3.     Do not attach unnecessary formalities to ministrations. For example, an apostle was demanding wine and special invitation to a programme, before he would honour the invitation.

4.     Some would list down all the amounts of money and food stuffs that shall be given to different sets of ministers who come on family deliverance. That is very wrong.

5.     Do not go about attending to everybody you see.

6.     Attend to those who are ready and willing to keep the original Ten Commandments of God as in Exodus 23 and who are observing the seven annual festivals of God, as written in Leviticus 23, which festivals Jesus attended.

Jesus Raises The Son Of A Widow Of Nain

And then the Christians went abroad to teach. And as they came to Nain, a city on the Hermon way, they saw a multitude about the gates. It was a funeral train. A widow's son was dead, and friends were bearing out the body to the tomb. It was the widow's only son, and she was wild with grief. And Jesus said to her, “Weep not, I am the life. Your son shall live.”

And Jesus raised His hand. The bearers of the dead stood still. And Jesus touched the coffin and said, “Young man, return.” The soul returned. The body of the dead was filled with life. The man sat up and spoke. The people were astonished at the scene, and every one exclaimed, “Praise God.”
A Jewish priest stood forth and said, “Behold a mighty prophet has appeared.” and all the people said, “Amen.” The Christians journeyed on. They taught, and healed the sick in many towns of Galilee, and then they came again to Capernaum.

Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep." Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise." So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.

Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, “God has visited His people." And this report about Him went throughout all Judea and all the surrounding regions.

Explanations

Yet, it is true. Majority of humanity are spiritually blind. The worst is that people do not even know that they are blind indeed. Your everyday sight/vision is less than one percent (1%) of the sight range which God gave you.

On several occasions, people have argued on why they should continue touching corpse or grave anytime, anywhere. One reason they usually give is that Jesus was touching dead bodies. They forgot that Jesus had spiritual power to destroy death, which power the ordinary man has not. Whenever Jesus touched dead body, he first destroyed death and cast it away, before He restored life. But when people touch dead bodies, the death remains. Let those who claim to be equal to Jesus, volunteer to be thrown into the ocean because Jesus walked on the water. Or, let them accept to be killed because they hope to resurrect after three days.

Again, you should bear in mind that the man writing this book is a person who has seen and met God face to face, on several occasions, here on earth and several times in the heavenly kingdoms. I speak because God gave me a commandment of love, when He said to me, “Go into the world and spread the light.” The light is knowledge of the truth. It is rare to see a living saint. When you see one, be wise enough to learn so many things from him.
